Andy Tuohy creates retro inspired original artworks of architecture, landmarks, locations and objects. His images are produced as limited edition giclee prints, posters and merchandise and are used for interior design, marketing campaigns and sold in galleries, museums and other retail outlets.
A fusion of contemporary British design with references to vintage travel and railway posters, Andy’s unique style resonates with the affection and nostalgia he holds for his subjects.
Andy Tuohy trained as a graphic designer at Liverpool Polytechnic (now John Moores) and worked in publishing and advertising for many years before going it alone as an artist designer. At the same time as going freelance he decided to take the plunge and move to the south coast where he developed a passion for the British seaside.
Andy’s work often includes subjects as diverse as modernist architecture; coastal landmarks from beach huts to bus shelters; transport; landscapes and seascapes.
Each limited edition giclée print is on heavy weight Hahnemühle fine art paper – the finest paper available for giclée printing in terms of archival qualities and print fidelity. Each print is signed by the artist, embossed and numbered as part of a strictly limited edition.
The posters are printed lithographically in the UK on environmentally friendly medium weight paper that is Forestry Commission approved from a sustainable source.
