Jane Adams ceramics

Working from her gallery and garden studio in St Just, Cornwall, Jane Adams takes inspiration from her own household of animals and her range of characterful ceramic sculptures is constantly developed and expanded. Initially self taught, Jane developed her practice at Loughborough University leading to her commencing her career as a ceramic artist in 1998. The work demonstrates her engaging sense of humour, she captures the spirit and character of her subjects without being accurately representational and creates engaging and witty pieces.

The artworks are hand made using crank stoneware clay and fired to 1200C in her electric kiln – making the pieces frost proof and suitable for outside.
