New ceramics and jewellery by Lynda B now available

We are delighted to announce that we are displaying a new range of ceramics and jewellery by Lynda B.

These Antique fabrics, ribbon, lace and buttons inspire the style of Lynda’s work.

Each item is handbuilt ceramic in porcelain, and a range of jewellery is also available.

WinaPrint is your chance to win an original print by one of Pushing Print’s contributing artists. Tickets are just £10 each and the draw will be held on 22 June 2012 7:00pm at the Margate Gallery.

All proceeds from this fundraising event will go to help Pushing Print develop the Giant Print Event – a two day event providing more opportunities for the community.

Event details: A special evening of lively discussion when exhibiting artist Tracey Emin chats with writer, actor, comedian and TV presenter Stephen Fry about her homecoming exhibition She Lay Down Deep Beneath the Sea.

The special event will also be broadcast live through interactive streaming as part of the major BBC and Arts Council England digital project.

This is a free event.

Measuring Margate Easter Treasure Hunt

Margate based arts organisation, Pushing Print, will be holding an Easter Treasure Hunt around Margate Old Town to mark the end of their year long project called Measuring Margate.

Treasure Maps can be collected from the Margate Gallery 2Lombard St, Margate CT9 1EJ, on Easter Sun 8th April and Easter Mon 9th April.

The Treasure Maps, designed by artist Jenny Wiener, will lead you around various locations in the Old Town with a number of clues to solve that will lead you to the Treasure. Solve all the clues correctly to win a piece of Treasure.

This is a free event.

The Margate Gallery is open on both days from 12 noon – 4pm

Jolyon Drury, Author of ‘Revelation to Revolution’ Confirmed Talk at Margate Gallery

We are very excited to announce that Margate Gallery will be holding an evening talk with Author of ‘Revelation to Revolution: The Legacy of Samuel Palmer’, Jolyon Drury.

Joylon will be in the Margate Gallery on Thursday 12 April 2012 from 6-7.30pm to discuss the ‘pastoral etching revival with the Goldsmiths’ etching class of 1921’.

This will be a free talk but bookings are essential.
